Earlier this month, we celebrated the opening of Port Covington’s newest event pop-up space, South Point; an outdoor, seasonal event space located on the waterfront of West Covington Park. In addition to stunning views of the Middle Branch, South Point offers a full-service bar, eatery, entertainment, and plenty of fun for the entire family—including leashed dogs! Despite threatening forecasts, the sun was shining for opening weekend and nearly 500 people showed up in support of Thursday’s wellness program and Friday’s SoBo Sunsets happy hour.
Weather permitting, guests are welcome to enjoy the waterfront entertainment venue Thursday through Saturday evenings during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. Thursdays at South Point offer Thrive: A Waterfront Wellness Series which is co-hosted by FX Well. Attendees can get a full-body workout using West Covington Park’s bike path exercise equipment, or take a waterfront yoga class, then cool down with a proceeding happy hour. Fridays bring SoBo Sunsets, a great way to unwind from the week. Fully equipped with a bar, music, mouth-watering food by Chef Pat Morrow and occasional food trucks and guest vendors, the only thing it’s missing is you!
Tickets for Thrive Thursdays can be found here.
